A Novena Prayer to Saint Thérèse
NOVENA PRAYER TO
THE LITTLE FLOWER
O LITTLE FLOWER OF JESUS, ever consoling troubled souls with heavenly graces, in your unfailing intercessions I place my confident trust. From the heart of our divine Saviour, petition the blessings of which I stand in greatest need, especially … (Here mention your intention.)
Shower upon me your promised roses of virtue and grace, Dear St. Thérèse, so that swiftly advancing in sanctity and perfect love of neighbour, I may someday receive the crown of life eternal. Amen.

Novena to Saint Thérèse
Novena and PrayersIn honour of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus and to
beg favours through her intercession.
O FATHER in Heaven, who, through St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, dost long to remind the world of the merciful Love that fills Thy Heart, and of the childlike trust that we should have in Thee, humbly we thank Thee for having crowned with so great glory Thine ever faithful child, and for giving her wondrous power to bring unto Thee, day by day, innumerable souls who will praise Thee eternally.
Holy ‘little Thérèse,’ remember thy promise to do good upon earth, shower down thy roses on those who invoke thee, obtain for us from God the graces we hope for from His infinite goodness. Amen.
O God, who by Thy Spirit of Love didst fire the soul of Thy Servant, Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, grant unto us also to love Thee and to make Thee ardently loved.

Prayers
From the Mass of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus. 3 October
O LORD, who hast said: ‘Unless ye become as little children ye shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven,’ grant us, we beseech Thee, so to follow in the footsteps of the Virgin, St. Thérèse, in humility and simplicity of heart, that we may merit to share her eternal reward.
May Thy heavenly mysteries set us on fire, O Lord, with that flame of love wherein Thy Virgin St. Thérèse delivered herself up to Thee as a victim of Charity for men. Amen.
O God, who by Thy Spirit of Love didst fire the soul of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, grant unto us also to love Thee and to make Thee ardently loved.
Indulgence attached in perpetuity to this last invocation 300 days every time the faithful shall recite it with contrite heart or with devotion.

9 October 2009 - Pius XII died 51 years ago
The 51th Anniversary of the death of His Holiness Pope Pius XII of holy memory occurs on 9 October 2009. He was undoubtedly the greatest Pope of the 20th century.
In life he was the succour and protector of the Jews. In death he is hated and wickedly maligned by that perfidious race. ‘O generatio infidelis et perversa.’ Lc. 9:xli.
O God who by thine ineffable providence wast pleased to number Thy servant Pius amongst the sovereign pontiffs; grant, we beseech Thee, the he who reigned as the vicar of Thy Son on earth, may be joined in fellowship with Thy holy pontiffs for evermore. Through the same our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen. |

The POPE and the JEWS
“It was in the name of the frankest feeling of Brotherhood that the Church did its utmost to rescue our threatened people from destruction. The supreme ecclesiastical authorities and all those priests who suffered for us in imprisonment and in concentration camps have our eternal gratitude.” (A Jew, at the meeting of the National Committee of Liberation in Milan, 1945).
